How can I know if therapy will work for me?
Unfortunately, there is no way to know if it will work until you try it. Therapy is a collaborative process and requires engagement but those that seek therapy are generally already engaged and will find success. If you have any questions about how therapy works and how it can work for you, do not hesitate to call Dr. Anyan so you can discuss it.
How often do I have to attend therapy?
The recommended frequency for therapy is once a week. However, sometimes an individual may request an additional session as needed. This will be discussed with Dr. Anyan as each treatment plan is personalized.
How much is each session?
Sessions are either $140 or $150 depending on the location.
How long is each session?
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
Do you help people suffering from panic attacks?
Dr. Anyan specilizes in helping people that suffer from panic attacks.
Do you offer a reduced rate for people with financial hardship?
This may be discussed with Dr. Anyan as a possibility on a case-by-case basis. There are a limited number of reduced rate spots.
Do you accept insurance payments?
Payments must be made at the end of each session. A receipt will be provided at the time of payment which can be submitted to your insurer for a refund as may be applicable depending on your policy.
Will I get a receipt for insurance purposes?
A receipt will be provided at the time of payment which will include Dr. Anyan's credentials as a member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ).
What forms of payment do you accept?
Sessions can be paid by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Payments may be made by credit card at the Westmount location.
Do you work on weekends?
Dr. Anyan works Monday-Friday.
Do you offer therapy by phone or video conferencing?
At times, it may not be possible to attend a session in person. If that is the case, therapy can be provided via teleconferencing platforms.
Do you offer couple’ therapy?
Dr. Anyan does not offer couples therapy. He specializes in individual therapy which can have a helpful and lasting effect where interpersonal relationships are concerned.
What if I can’t make a session, will I have to pay?
If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please notify Dr. Anyan by phone, text or email at least one (1) business day (24 hours) before the scheduled appointment (excludes weekends). With less than one (1) business day’s notice, there is not sufficient time to schedule someone in the time slot and you will be asked to pay the full cost of the session.

All information divulged in session is strictly confidential. There are however a few circumstances under which confidentiality must be broken.

- If there is any reasonable suspicion that harm may be done to yourself or others (including, but not limited to, suicide, assault, child abuse) or, if required by law (e.g. by a subpoena). If you have any concerns about confidentiality, please bring them up in session.
- As a member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (Quebec’s regulatory board for psychologists), your file could be reviewed for quality control. In that event, I will notify you in advance.
